What’s in the workshop

Needles, thread
& a little mischief.

  • Spin it round

Your doll stands on a little 3D stage. Turn it, zoom in, look closer. One finger does it on a phone.

  • Button eyes & yarn hair

Nine kinds of eyes, from four-hole buttons to stitched X’s, and 22 hairstyles in wool, mohair or felt.

  • A wardrobe of hundreds

382 garments and 470 accessories, from mourning gowns to feathered top hats, in 32 palettes, 16 fabrics and 20 prints.

  • Sculpt a face

Pear-shaped head? Pointy chin? Slide it into shape, or sculpt with a fingertip or the mouse.

  • Real sewing patterns

Print true-size A4 patterns for the clothes, drafted to your doll’s measurements, for real dolls 25–50 cm tall.

  • Keep your coven

Try it straight away with no account, or join free to save your dolls and come back to them.

Peek inside

From button eyes
to a printed pattern.

A close-up of a doll with black button eyes, a stitched red mouth, straw-coloured yarn hair and a tall black top hat.
Button eyes, a stitched smile and a feathered top hat.
The sewing pattern for the mourning gown: bodice, skirt, sleeve, collar and lace pieces with sizes in centimetres, seam allowance choices and a Download PDF pattern button.
Every outfit can become a true-size pattern. Bigger pieces are tiled across A4 pages.
On a phone: a close look at the doll’s face, with a choice of button eyes below.
On a phone: the hair page, with hairstyles from bob to braids to pick with a tap.
Little hands, any screen

Made for phones
and tablets too.

On a phone or tablet the workshop has its own layout. Swipe between pages, tap to swap an outfit, and drag the pins to make a sleeve longer or a skirt wider.

It’s completely free and suitable for all ages. No downloads, no app store. Just open it in the browser and start stitching.

The treat for grown-ups

An app of
their very own.

We built the Doll Workshop from scratch. We can build one for you too: something useful for your website or business, or a one-of-a-kind gift for someone you love.

Custom apps used to be out of reach for small projects. Modern web development tools have changed that.

  • For your website

A designer, planner, calculator or game that gives people a reason to come back.

  • For your business

Bookings, orders, quotes or a workshop of your own, built around the way you work.

  • As a gift

An app made for one person: a little one with a big imagination, or a friend with a hobby.

Custom apps from£250

Every app is scoped and quoted with you before work starts. Ongoing hosting and any third-party services are quoted separately.

Trick or treat?
It’s a treat.

The Doll Workshop is free for everyone. Try it with no account. Nothing is kept when you leave, unless you join to save your dolls.
